The Egg Hunt

On the 8th, we had my side of the family over for an egg hunt. I wanted to do it at our house because we have a big yard and lots of room for guests.

At the store buying candy and KyLee wanted to get some graham crackers. She wouldn't let go of the box until I had to scan them.
It was a cold, rainy day at the party, but that didn't stop the kids from finding eggs and filling their buckets with candy. We even had a scavenger hunt after the egg hunt, where the kids had to follow clues to find a big chocolate bunny and a bottle of bubbles for each of them.

The rest of the weekend was still cold and wet, so we stayed inside all snuggled up. KyLee had been throwing up all night and into Sunday afternoon, so she and I stayed home from church.
She started wearing the barf bowl on her head when she felt better. Don't worry, she never actually used it. She pretty much threw up everywhere except for in the barf bowl.

Elementary Family Night

The elementary school had a family night where we could all go and participate in fun activities.

This was an activity where you rub a balloon on your hair and use the static electricity to pull an empty soda can across the floor. The kids were very impressed.

B used some M&Ms to count dots on dominos and do some simple addition. She can't wait to start school.
My U and J being silly while they were eating their snacks.

Yummy yummy yogurt.

Jumping Into April

While we were outside cleaning up the garden one day, our neighbor popped his head over the fence and asked us if we wanted a trampoline. I had secretly been wanting a trampoline for a long time, but didn't have the $200 to buy one, so I very quickly said, "Yes!" He said the trampoline was in good condition, but the poles that held up the net were bent from a wind storm. We decided to take a look at it. It was honestly in better shape than I was expecting, and it was only a year old! We picked it up and walked it over to our yard. J used his awesome skills and with a drill and a few dollars, had the bent poles fixed and the trampoline up and running. The kids were so happy to have it up. They spend more time outside now than they ever have! I remember having a trampoline when I was growing up and it was one of my most favorite things to do outside. I can't wait to have summer sleepovers on it under the stars.

KyLee loves to bounce around. We learned that at Bonnie's birthday party. So it's no wonder that the trampoline is one of her favorites too.

Don't worry, the trampoline didn't replace the swing in KyLee's little heart. She still prefers it over jumping...for now. (^_^)

Goodbye Snow- March 2017

It seemed to take forever, but the snow finally melted and March warmed up enough to get us outside. The snow this year was so bad that several counties in Idaho had major flooding problems after the snow melted and the run-off came down from the mountains. Luckily, we didn't have any problems with flooding.
Liberty came to stay with us for a week, and her and Bonnie had a great time playing together.

Liberty, Bonnie and KyLee having fun on the swing. KyLee loves to be outside. I think she would live outside if she could.

We showed the kids how to make air-popped popcorn and it has quickly become their favorite snack.
When D&B Supply had their chick days, we went and got some baby chicks. They were so cute and fluffy.

It felt so good to have nice weather after all that snow. The kids love to play outside.

KyLee being silly with mommy's sandals.
We had some nieces and nephews over for spring break and we put them right to work. They helped us weed the strawberry bed in the garden, and that is no easy task!
Near the end of March I found out I had shingles on my forehead. My worst symptom was that the lymph node in my neck was getting so big and swollen, it felt like a tennis ball was under there. I am thankful for modern medicine so that those awful bumps would go away.
I found Here Comes Peter Cottontail at Walmart, so I brought it home for the kids and they liked it a lot. It's always fun to see movies I grew up on in the store so I can share them with my kids.

A Minor Remodel - February 2017

Uriah and the scouts played broom hockey and one of the brooms was metal and didn't have a cap on the end, so of course it was Uriah who got gouged with it. He was a trooper. We got it cleaned up and he went right back to playing.
Even after the snow we got in January, the hits just kept coming. February came with even more snow. The missionaries even got stuck on our neighbor's lawn and had to be towed back onto the road.
Bonnie got her ears pierced for her 5th birthday, and afterward, we had a yummy lunch at Noodles and Co.

Tootles is such a little beggar.
We had a combined party for Jayson, Bonnie and Liberty's birthday at Geronimo's, a new trampoline warehouse in Pocatello, It was a blast!

KyLee loved it so much she didn't want to leave.

We celebrated with pizza and cupcakes after all the jumping around.

I got bored and decided to take down all the wheelchair panels on the walls of our bedroom. We ended up finding a ton of holes in the walls, that we had to end up patching. It turned into almost a whole remodel of the room. Jared let me pick a nice yellow color for the walls and it looked so nice when we were all done.

Bonnie got some cute late birthday outfits from grandma and grandpa M. She can't wait for her next birthday!
