Sharing Time

I absolutely love it when friends/family share recipes with me. This is what happened when my best friend's mom shared a delicious recipe with me the other day.

Can you say, YUM?! We made homemade alfredo sauce for the first time, and Jordyn just couldn't get enough of it! Neither could I! I've decided to never buy alfredo sauce in a bottle ever again, because this homemade sauce is just so danged delicious (and has less preservatives)! Who could ask for anything more?

Adventures in the Weird

I had the BEST time on Saturday night. Jared and I went to see Weird Al in concert, and it was so much fun! I will never forget it. I did take some pictures, and thankfully I got some short snippets of most of the songs he performed. If you want to watch them (my camera has awful zoom and the picture isn't so swell, but you can pretty much get the idea) you can view them below! Gotta love a good date night with the hubby!

PS- This is what he calls "the baby beard". He says he will continue to grow it out until the baby comes (still 5 months to go). We will see...

Family Lovin'

This is why I love my husband and why I want to have a bazillion kids (not really that many, but you know what I mean...)

Well, blogger is being crappy and won't let me upload my video, so if you want to see it, click here.

Labor Free

This year we spent half of our long Labor Day weekend at home and half visiting the McCurdys.

Auntie Kayla did Jordyn's hair all nice and pretty for our
day. She looked so pretty in purple.
Little Miss Sleepy Head made sure to catch some z's. She knew she would be busy once we got to the lake.

Uriah and Jordyn are watching Gamma fish. They are pretty sure she is bound to catch something immediately.

Papa caught lots of fish, but Uriah wouldn't get anywhere near them. I couldn't even get him in the same picture as the fish.

These are the 4 smallish fish we decided to take home with us. Gamma and Papa kept 2 and we kept 2. Jared cooked his two on the grill with butter and lemon pepper. He gave me a bite and it didn't taste fishy at all. It was quite good, although my brain was telling me I had fish in my mouth and it almost made me sick. Silly me.

This is what happens now when I ask Jordyn to smile for the camera...

Then she does some silly face for me. What a sweet little girl I have!
We had a really good weekend that ended in a nice, relaxing way. Then we had to go back to the real world. Oh well, at least the holiday gave us a short work week!

Step 2: Poke self in eye
