Sweet Emotions

June was a month that was filled with a lot of hard ups and downs. There's just too much to write down here and I honestly don't want to document the details. I will just say that I got to spend 3 wonderful weeks with my niece and nephews and, even though I may never see them in my home again, I will treasure the time we got to be together.

KyLee climbed into the car seat at church and pretended to be sleeping. She is my silly girl.

The first strawberries...before the strawberry apocalypse.
I woke up at 4 in the morning to find my liquid laundry detergent spilled everywhere. That was NOT fun to clean up. I had to throw out the rug and a litter mat by the litter boxes.

Another frog on the living room floor...

The pool finally opened, so we got our family pass and have been going almost every day.

The cousins had lots of fun at the pool.

Eva likes to hang out pool-side.

Some of the kids at the pool really wanted Eva to get in and get wet. One of them even went and bought a swim diaper because I hadn't planned on getting Eva in the pool. She loves to be in the water and furiously kicks her legs when she takes a bath or swims in the pool.
Eva discovered that it doesn't always have to be her thumb to suck on while she sleeps.

For Uriah's birthday, we went to Red Robin. They sang to him and he got a free ice cream sundae.
He got lots of good stuff this year. He asked for gel pens, which I thought was weird, but we got him some and he loves them. He likes to take them to church with him to color.

KyLee likes to have her picture taken.
Ugh...strawberries. We probably picked over 20 gallons this year, and about 8 of them were wasted because we picked them and got so busy that we didn't make any jam or freeze them and they went bad in the fridge. I was so frustrated throwing them out, but then I became determined not to waste anything else from the garden.
Mom came to visit for a Saturday and we drove up to the mountains around Baker Creek and took the kids to the Sheepherder's bathtub.

This is one of my favorite places in the world.

We even made friends with some other kids who came in for a dip.

Eva loved dipping her feet in the water and kicking her legs.

We got a kitten from our neighor's house and the kids love her. She's cute and feisty. She was supposed to be an outdoor cat but when we left her outside she would meow and cry and I just couldn't leave her out there!

Eva turned 6 months. Kids just grow too fast.

Despite his loud objections to having a 3rd cat in the house, J seems to like her.

Before they had to go home, Roman and Phoenix got to go to scout day camp with Uriah. They had such a good time. I hope they never forget it.
