It has been a few weeks since I posted, and seeing as how I don't have any pictures to upload at this time, I thought I'd give a quick update. We finally got moved to our new apartment (woohoo!) and I love it so much. There is so much extra space, and I love that we have a garage to use for storage instead of shoving things into our clothes closets. We can put all of our new furniture into the living room, instead of splitting it up in two different rooms. Our bedroom actually has walking space, the kids both fit comfortably in their room and our study has plenty of room for studying and scrapbooking (^_^) We still have a few boxes in the garage that need unpacked but for the most part we are settled in.
We have had a round of sickness run through our home since we moved. The little ones started getting colds at the beginning of last week, then last Friday I got a nasty stomach flu and had to stay home from work, then Jared got it, and after the stomach flu went away we all started going through the cold that our kids have, and it still has a grip on us. Jordyn hasn't been sleeping well at night because she can't breathe, and I've been having to sleep flat on my back with my nose pointed straight up at the ceiling so that I can somewhat drain my sinuses and breathe out of my nose. We also have nasty mucus-filled coughs. Uggg...
Last week our kids started their very first time at day care, and I am very happy with how things are going so far. It is a day care run through the College of Education on campus and it is nationally accredited and also ICCP certified, and I have heard nothing bad about the place. They don't have very many spots so I was happy that I was able to get the kids in. Uriah gets to play outside at least 3 hours a day and I know he loves that. They also give us weekly updates on a website so we can see pictures of them playing and find out how they are doing. We applied for ICCP to help us out, and when our child care bill would normally be $866 a month, we only have to pay $280. That is such a blessing to us. I don't know what we'd do if we didn't get the help we needed from ICCP.
Jared has started going to school full time since we got married and he has also started job shadowing at a physical therapy office to get some hours under his belt and prepare him to apply for the physical therapy assistant program. I am really praying for him and hoping that he disciplines himself enough to get the grades he needs to get into the program.
On Saturday night we drove to Blackfoot to get some family pictures taken. I was very excited. It was our first photo shoot as a family with Jordyn, and it was also an outside shoot and I loved walking around along the river and finding fun places to shoot the pictures. A very good friend of mine, who I have known for a while through school, has a husband who does photography as a hobby, and he does such an amazing job. He did our first family pictures when Uriah was a baby and I knew I wanted to go right back to him for these family pictures. I can't wait to see how they turned out. I will be sure to post them when I get them. Well, that's about all I have to say for now. I'll wrap this up and hopefully have some pictures to post soon.
