Officially

Ok everyone, here it is. We have had our ultrasound and gotten our official due date. The ultrasound showed a perfectly healthy baby girl, and she is going to be due...yes...on Christmas Eve. So, my hopes of a better due date were shot, but that's alright. The ultrasound was the coolest thing ever because we actually watched her move her mouth open and shut like she was eating, and we saw her stick her fingers in her mouth. My aunt was doing the ultrasound and she said that it was rare to actually see the baby's fingers go in their mouth during an ultrasound. It was really a very neat experience. I was secretly hoping for another little boy but all of my gut feelings had been telling me that it was going to be a girl whether I wanted to admit it or not. I'm just glad I can call my baby "she" instead of "it" :) Now I've just got to find a whole bunch of girl clothes cuz all I have right now are boy clothes. We do have a name picked out but we are not telling ANYONE, no matter how special you think you are *wink wink* It will be hard to keep it a secret but we want something about this pregnancy to be a surprise. I had initially wanted the gender of the baby to be a surprise but my hubby shot that idea down very quickly. He wasn't too excited about the idea. So we decided to keep the name a secret. That seemed fair enough to me. Now all I have to do is tell my new bosses that I am pregnant. I really don't know how I'm going to get that done. I'm pretty nervous about it, but I know once I do it will be a big weight off my shoulders. Well, that's all for now. We got home late last night so I will post the ultrasound pictures later.

Another Summer Month Gone By...

Well, I know it has been a while since I've posted, but I often forget, or just don't want to sit and do it. But now that I have a job where I can sit and use up some spare time, I should be able to do this more often. I started my new job at the College of Pharmacy on July 13th. It has been slow and fast all at the same time. For my first week we went on a trip to Boise for a quarterly meeting that I am in charge of. Luckily I was just learning and my trainer was there to show me what to do. Ever since then I really haven't had much to do. The problem with working on a college campus is that there are fast points and slow points, and they are very extreme. Hardly is there ever an inbetween. Right now it is very very slow because there just isn't a whole lot to do in the summer. Once August and September come around things will pick up, and apparently January and February will make me wish for death, or so my trainer told me. The only thing I am worried about is that my new bosses don't know I'm pregnant yet. I didn't think it would be appropriate to tell them at my interview, and ever since then I haven't known what the right time would be. I have planned on telling them after my ultrasound, which is on the 3rd, so wish me luck!
I am really hoping that we have another little boy so that Uriah can have a baby brother, but if we get a girl I guess that will be okay too ;) I haven't really been thinking of names. The only thing I've been able to come up with so far is Jordyn (For a girl). Other than that, I haven't really thought about it. I guess I've got a lot of time left before I have to decide. Uriah is 13 months old now and I still can't believe we've already reached the one year mark. They really do grow up so fast. They just don't stay small for very long. I've had a few friends have babies the past couple of weeks and seeing their newborns makes me really want my new one to come. I miss the times when I could just hold Uriah in my arms and he would lay still and be tiny and sleep. Now he's just all over the place! Every step is a memory, and I hope I never lose any.

All Kinds of Things

I know it's been a while since my last post. I think it was about our new pregnancy. Well, everything is still under way with that. The due date is still December 24th, but I am still holding my breath until we get our first ultrasound. Things are usually more accurate with those. I am about 14 weeks along. I think sometimes I can feel some moving, even though they say I shouldn't be able to feel anything yet. Sometimes I'm very sure I can, but I bet it will just keep getting stronger as time goes on. I am really hoping that we are having another boy, because I think it would be great for Uriah to have a little brother. Of course a girl would be fine too, but I'm really pulling for a boy :) Father's Day was Uriah's birthday. It is crazy to think that he is already a year old. He has been walking since 11 months and he is just the cutest little walker I've ever seen. AND he dances too. No matter what kind of music is playing, he starts bending his knees and dancing. Sometime I'll have to see if I can get a video of it and put it up. Anyway, we had a Father's Day BBQ/Birthday Party with cream cheese filled cupcakes...MMMmmm! However, there were so many people with us that Uriah didn't want to take any naps, so when it came time to eat cupcakes and open presents he really wasn't interested. He doesn't like opening one toy and then having to put that toy away to open another one. It was still fun though, and he loves all his presents. He got some really nice clothes too and that's great because we really didn't have a lot of 12 month clothes. I've decided to put up some pictures of the party for those of you who missed it.

In other news, I got offered a job on the 18th. Cuh-Razy! I was so worried about finding a job in the current market, but I did! I have had my name on the State registry for an Office Specialist position and I got a call at the beginning of June for an interview at the College of Pharmacy at ISU. I went in for my interview on the 16th but I really didn't think I would have enough experience with office jobs to be considered. I was the first person they interviewed and after all the interviews they did they called me two days later and offered me the job. I was so excited but scared at the same time. Even so, I accpted! I start on July 13th. This job will be really good for both of us because it means that even if Jared quits his job and goes back to school we can get the $5 credits, plus we get great benefits and really good insurance. I will miss working at the Financial Aid Office but it is a good time to be leaving because everything is in upheaval with the Director, Ass. Director and one of the counselors leaving, plus they haven't hired anyone to fill these positions, and things are starting to get pretty messy. The job I have now is the first job I've ever had, and I don't really remember what it was like starting it. I just hope that I will be able to adjust to my new job as well as I did to this one.

I am really looking forward to the holiday. I hope everyone has a great week!

Why Would I Be Worrying About Christmas Already?

Okay, so I just had my first doctor's appointment for this pregnancy and the "tentative" due date they are giving me is...guess...December 24! Uggg! I am not letting it get me down though because until the doctor does his checking and I get an ultrasound done, they won't know absolutely for sure. But Jared is a December baby and the last thing I want to worry about is having to cover two birthdays along with Christmas! Oh well...maybe it will be fun, who knows. If the due date changes, I'll be sure to put it up on here. Gotta get to work!

Umm...Surprise!?

Well, I'm just making this post quick, but we just found out that we are expecting again. We haven't had our first appointment, but we are guessing that we are due around December. Great, just what we need, another close to Christmas birthday! I figured this was a somewhat good way to get the news out. Hope you all have a great summer!
